  Dishonest, false service documents - Shoddy work and not honoring their legal requirements.
  
  I bought a car from Mornington Auto group, which needed work under a presale condition according to a RACV inspection. The sales person - Robert assured me it was all done "a perfect car". When I picked the car up, visually you could see that the power steering fluid was still not on the dipstick, but the RWC said it had been checked. A roadworthy certificate was the only evidence that any work was done. No mention of the precondition works.
  I asked for evidence and was met with silence.
  
  At the end of the three month statutory warranty period I go the car inspected by RAA (SA equivalent of the RACV) who identified most of the presale conditions again plus some suspension issues. Upon receipt of this information I immediately sent it to Mornington Auto Group - Robert, who ignored it (still to this date - over a month). After a week I sent it to Chris the service manager, who ignored it for two weeks. Before coming back with a demonstrated poor understanding of consumer law and the obligations under the statutory warranty.
  This went on for a while. RAA can't identify a defect .etc Get three inspections.etc
  Before coming up with a very reasonable - my upper management (who also never return calls or emails - Luke and Dean the dealer principal) believe the most reasonable solution is to tow you car to our dealership to inspect and repair. Once we get it, then we'll decide how long it will take to repair.
  That's over 800 km of towing. No car for probably months, no guarantee the work would actually be completed - see the presale conditions.
  
  This is nothing short of a pathetic attempt to wriggle out of their obligations under the ACL and the used car motor traders ACT.
  
  Do yourself a favour and don't buy a used car from these folk or a dealer in general, they're not worth the risk, at least private sellers tend to be honest and interested in resolving issues quickly.
  
  These guys in particular are worse than bankers.
