  Have been buying the same cake for 5 years. Every year they would write happy birthday Katie on the cake for me. New management have taken over and don't do that anymore and ask you to buy a plastic happy birthday instead. Poor form.

  I really like their sandwiches. I was starving one morning and I bought cheesecakes so I saw the sandwiches and thought why not. Simple but fresh and tasty. I have bought cakes there too and they have been tasty.

  Wow what a difference a change makes. New owners with bad attitude. Everything is too hard. The previous owner would be accomodating and friendly but unfortunately this lady has some sort of attitude problem. Oh well her loss - we would visit weekly for coffee and cakes and would order all our cakes from there. Never again. I do like Ferguson Plare hence not scoring a 1. In a place like Mornington and Mt Martha where coffee shops are the norm it's never a good idea to be dismissive of customers.

  Took my 90 year old father and husband for lunch, we put two small tables together and had food, tea/coffee. I had just finished my pie when a very rude young lady told me that since I had finished eating she needed the table and we should squash on to the one little table to finish our drinks, how rude my poor father wouldn’t finish his tea because we had to move. Would never go back.

  They sell very good coffee and a big variety of cakes but their prices are quite high.
  Ordered and paid a Birthday cake for my son ($ 40) last Thursday. Went there today (Saturday) to pick it up. When I arrived, all sales girls (about 5 of them) walked away from the cake counter and I was left standing there, waiting. I eventually called out for service but only got a quick, unpleasant look from one woman! I then walked around to the coffee counter and said I wanted to pick up the cake for [my name]. Staff, seemingly not interested, walked to a mountain of prepared cake orders and brought the wrong one. I told her which cake I ordered and after searching, she brought the correct one. I took it and the girl walked off. No "Thank you" or anything else. This was definitely the last time I went there. Learn some manners girls, when you work in customer service/retail!
